Unlocked Fall Release 2024: Powerfully simple tools to help experience partners grow and stand out

The release comes as consumers keep spending more on experiences despite higher inflation. According to recent research published by GetYourGuide and Earnest Analytics, Americans’ spending on experiences has grown 32% in the 12-month period which ended on Aug. 31 2024 compared to the 12-month period which ended on Jan. 1 2019, while overall spending on consumer goods has grown 21% in the same period, and spending only on discretionary goods has grown 5%. This trend is driven by the increasing popularity of online booking platforms for experiences, like GetYourGuide, and travelers’ greater desire to spend more on authentic and immersive experiences than on flights and accommodation. Trends like these have given further credence to the larger experience economy, projected to be worth an estimated $1.7 trillion USD, as a considerable segment of the broader travel landscape.

The new features build on GetYourGuide’s first-ever dedicated release for supply partners in Spring. Fall’s release includes:

  • Video: Offering users a richer connection to experiences, videos will be made available to an early selection of limited experience partners. It’s a big step forward in helping creators guide explorers toward experiences that let them live their passions. We’re teaming up with our 10,000-strong creator community — the industry’s largest — to produce authentic, high-quality videos at scale in a controlled rollout.

    We’ll have videos on select destination pages that use our influencers’ local knowledge to inspire travelers with an honest view spanning the key sights to hidden gems. We’ll also have videos on select partner product pages featuring influencers’ recaps, inviting travelers to discover what the experience feels like.
  • AI Content Creator: Allowing experience creators to generate high-quality, guideline-compliant listings more quickly, the AI Content Creator reduces creation time by as much as 40%, resulting in listings with fewer errors and, as a result, driving more bookings.
  • Insights: Helping experience creators to make informed decisions, Insights provides new functionality like "Likely to Sell Out" predictions and provides actionable data for smarter inventory management.
  • Connectivity: Connectivity improves accuracy and competitiveness with live availability and pricing, tiered pricing, and add-ons over API. 

Furthermore, GetYourGuide has introduced several enhancements, including improved search functionality and support for 13 new languages for customers. Additionally, the platform now offers 5 new languages for partners, enabling them to expand into new markets.
