May 31, 2024 – BERLIN – GetYourGuide, a leading online marketplace to discover and book travel experiences, announced today the appointment of Gaurav Agarwal as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO), effective June 2024. In this role, Agarwal will lead GetYourGuide’s technical teams, including global infrastructure; data, analytics and AI; growth; and user experience (UX).
Agarwal brings a wealth of technical experience to GetYourGuide, having led the engineering organization at Netflix that is responsible for all aspects of user and revenue growth, including plans, pricing, payments, partner platform, and account management. Before his time at Netflix, Agarwal played a pivotal role at Meta where he was at the helm of multiple Growth Engineering teams focused on User and Advertiser Growth. He also brings an entrepreneurial mindset to his role as CTO, having co-founded a startup aimed at creating an anonymous social network.
